A fascia, from the Latin "ligament", is a band or band of connective tissue, mainly collagen, under the skin. On the one hand, it stabilizes the fascia tissue, on the other hand, the muscles and other internal organs. We distinguish between 3 types of fascia:

First come the superficial fasciae, these are directly connected to the skin. 

Our deep fasciae connect bones, nerves, muscles and blood vessels. After that, there are subserous fascia, which connect with internal organs.

However, fascia is similar to ligaments and tendons in that it has collagen as its main component. These collagen fibers are produced by fibroblasts located within the fascia. If these fibroblasts ultimately do not produce enough collagen, this can lead to deficiency symptoms. These are manifested by feeling stiff or "rusty". In addition, too little water in the body and a Acidosis of the body indicates deficiency symptoms, which then manifests itself in agglutinated fasciae.

Particularly through a lack of movement or through a uniform, repetitive muscle stress (e.g. assembly line work), it can come to sticking or hardening of the muscle fasciae. Another possible cause, can also be the lack of exchange of nutrients. Too little water in the body can be a cause, as well as an unbalanced diet. When the body is over-acidified, our fasciae stick together. Last but not least, a significant factor is of course stress. 

On the one hand, fascial tissue stabilizes muscles and other internal organs. On the other hand, it also surrounds and separates them.
Yet fascia is our inner connective tissue. This fascial tissue that wraps around the organs supports them and holds everything together. In other words, it has the appearance of a very thin spider web that connects muscle layers and surrounds and also supports all internal body tissues!

Fascial problems often manifest themselves as pain, the cause of which cannot be found immediately. Typical symptoms include neck, shoulder, back or joint pain. In addition, stuck fascia can also lead to restricted movement, making you feel stiff and "rusty".

Too little water in the body as well as an overacidification of the body can also be possible causes, which then show up in agglutinated fasciae.

Majority of the time we feel tension in the neck, shoulder and back as well as the back of the thighs or even the hips.

You want to aim that your capillary system is stimulated to move the "old" fluid. Through the use of fascia rolls we achieve that the so-called intercellular fluid starts to move. Thereby the fascia rolls remove the "Old" capillary fluid and stimulate the capillary system so that "New". Capillary fluid flows in. Roll with your fascia roll or your fascia ball slowly, but with a lot of pressure. In this way, the fibroblasts also get going again, which is what we want to achieve with fascia training. That the "stuck" fasciae loosen up again. In doing so, our fascia roller or fascia ball should help to release tension and reduce pain. This can relieve sore muscles and increase mobility. More precisely, fascia rolls are supposed to tighten the connective tissue and thus also counteract cellulite, for example.

Now with the fascia rolls you should roll very slowly in one direction (towards the heart). Try to roll really slowly, but with sufficient pressure.

We generally recommend a two-pack of fascia balls. It is important to mention here that you always "work up" to the side of the spine but never directly on the spine. In addition to the spine, avoid the back of the knees, i.e. the back of the knee
