Bolster Purple Organic

Bolster in Purple Bio - or is it Purple after all, or is it more commonly referred to as Violet?

Purple is a common color designation and was supposedly the first color designation ever. By the way, Milka's purple is a protected color trademark. Purple, on the other hand, is the result of mixing red and blue. Originally, violet referred to a delicate shade of violet. Later, the term purple was added. With purple, however, the original derivation lies with lilac, which occurs in various purple - or lilac tones in nature. Purple, on the other hand, is the English name. But now we come to the symbolism of the color purple, as our Bolster Purple Bio.

What we associate with purple:

Like (almost everywhere) there are different definitions or even descriptions of the purple spectrum. On the one hand, purple has something mystical, mysterious. Spirituality and faith, but also serving is associated with this hue. In addition, the color is said to have a calming effect on us. However, it can also stand for loneliness, abandonment, suffering, sadness and melancholy. People who wear violet usually have a healthy self-confidence and want to emphasize their individuality. At the same time, violet is also considered to be imaginative. Creativity is associated with violet, but also our intuition. In addition, violet also stands for sensitivity, the extraordinary and is also sexually stimulating. In the past, violet in all its nuances was considered the fashion color of "the better-off" citizens. Many dignitaries of the church own purple colored robes. In the context of the church, purple represents Advent or even Lent. In the Nazi concentration camps, Bible scholars imprisoned for their faith were marked with a purple triangle on top. This was the symbol or the marking for people who resisted and this because of their faith.

Purple in fashion:

Since purple is a mixed color, which comes from pink (which we associate with femininity) and blue (which stands for masculinity), purple symbolizes the equality of men and women. It became fashionable in the 1920s, and in the 1970s women could not avoid wearing purple, which was the color of feminists. Let's remember the movie "The Color Purple" in which an African-American woman fights for her independence. By the way, you will find with us still matching the Bolster Purple Bio our meditation cushion Purple Bio.

Possible applications Bolster Purple Bio:

The filling of the Yoga Bolster Purple Bio:

Yoga bolsters are usually filled with spelt husk, buckwheat, cotton or kapok. Kapok is a white-gray - yellowish material. It is obtained from the fibers of the kapok tree and is water repellent.
Our bolsters are filled with buckwheat. The cotton is organic and so is the buckwheat it contains.

Advantages of buckwheat in our bolsters:

Originally, buckwheat comes from northern India and central Asia. Buckwheat hulls have a high content of minerals and silicic acid. This is supposed to alleviate complaints such as joint and back pain. In addition, also menstrual cramps or rheumatism. In addition, buckwheat is also said to promote blood circulation and thus be particularly beneficial in venous diseases and circulatory disorders.

The differences from other materials:

Buckwheat, unlike polyester or even spelt, is firmer, harder and rustles less. It is also more stable in shape and particularly permeable to air. In addition, it is particularly suitable for asthmatics and those with a house dust allergy. Thus, buckwheat is also safe during pregnancy. Other advantages of buckwheat are that it is breathable, cools in summer and warms in winter. In addition, it protects against excessive sweating. It regulates humidity. It also protects against dust mites. Only in case of gluten allergy we do not recommend buckwheat filling.

Care of your Yoga Bolster Purple Bio:

Our bolsters are all quite lushly filled. So are our meditation cushions. Both have an inner cushion. Thus, you can remove the outer cover and wash in cold water or up to max. 30 C. Please do not wash the inner pillow with the buckwheat filling. Finally, a small note: If necessary, you can always adjust the amount of filling and thus the hardness of your bolster. It is recommended that you refill your bolster with the buckwheat filling every 2 years or better yet completely refill it.
