Worth knowing hip openings

Physical:

Did you know that there are over 20 muscles that cross our hips?

By this is meant the accumulation of the inner thigh muscles which are referred to as the adductors. Additionally, the collection of the outer thigh muscles, our hip flexors in the front and the deep lateral rotators in the back as well as a few more. Thus, movements that stretch any of these muscles are considered "hip openers".

On the one hand, the benefits of hip openers include improved range of motion and a reduction in back pain. On the other hand, opening the hips can cause an energetic release or relief.

Mental:

In the yoga tradition, the hips are said to serve as a repository for negative feelings and pent-up emotions. By opening the hips, we can thus create space for the birth of new ideas and find the courage to go new ways.

Summary:

In conclusion, opening the hips gives us access to freedom and well-being in our own bodies. This is reflected in our creative, physical, sexual and spiritual expression.
